Hi Max, I have always considered myself to have a excellent recognition of bird calls. However after being caught out on two occasions by the mimicking abilities of the Common Mynah I do not put as much credence on identifying a single call these days. The birds mimicked were Pallid Cuckoo, and Red -whiskered Red-rumped Parrot. The Mynah that mimics the Red-rumped Parrot lives around my home and still fools me on a regular basis. the beautiful Hawkesbury 60km N/W of Sydney =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
