Hi friends

I know this is not a bird, but it well may have been prey of an owl,
accidentally dropped!! I know nothing of small marsupials and am wondering
if anyone can ID this for me. I am in Central Victoria in dry Box woodland.
Is it just a common rat? About 12 - 15 cm in the body and 16 - 20 cm of
tail.
