Pale White-Eye

Hi Brian & Meg,

Pale White-eye is found in the southern Torres Strait Islands (just off the
coast of mainland Australia), particularly Mt Adolphus Is (as Russell T
suggests), as well as Little Woody Is (just west of Possession Is) and Little
Tuesday Is (possibly the most reliable and uninhabited), accessible by water
taxi from Horn Is (the trip takes about an hour).

Aside from Pale White-eye on Little Tuesday Is you might see Beach
Stone-Curlew, Sanderling, Rose-crowned Fruit-Dove, Noisy Pitta, Mangrove Golden
Whistler, Broad-billed Flycatcher, Spectacled Monarch, Dusky and Red-headed
Honeyeater.

On the way to the island look for seabirds such as Great and Lesser
Frigatebird, Brown Booby, Lesser Crested, Crested, Common, Black-naped, Sooty
and Bridled Tern, and Common and Black Noddy.

Cheers,

Tim Dolby

Hi all. Very soon, we are off on our long trip which eventually will have us
going up Cape York to the tip. I'm looking for reliable islands (& how to visit
without own boat) to find Pale White-eye. Any suggestions will be gratefully
received.
Cheers
Brian & Meg
