The following is a digest of Sightings Reported on Birdpedia for the period 
Monday, March 28, 2011 to Sunday, April 3, 2011:

Area: SA

Date: Monday, March 28, 2011

Location: Rocky Gully Wetlands, Murray Bridge.

Australian Hobby (Falco longipennis) (1) Australian Hobby feeding in flight on 
Locusts and other, unidentified, flying insects.

Common Sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos) (1) One Common Sandpiper feeding alond 
sandy shoreline.

Silver Gull (Larus novaehollandiae) (150+) Silver Gulls breeding on 
'Christine's Island'. Many immature birds plus a few nestlings.

Rocky Gully was very full after recent rains. A number of species that are 
commonly seen there were absent. No Coot, Moorhen, Swamphen, Grebe, and only a 
single Black-winged Stilt. There were almost no small Passerine in spite of the 
fact that many Eucalypt were in flower. Other than Silver Gull, the most 
abundant species was House Sparrow.

Location: Scott Creek Conservation Park

Bassian Thrush (Zoothera lunulata) (2) 2 individuals found in a Prickly 
Tea-tree / Messmate Stringybark association along Rowlands Gully (near Gate 
7).One bird perched 10 metres away from me,allowing excellent views!

Date: Friday, April 1, 2011

Location: Henley Beach

Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) (2) A kestrel hovered over the beach 
opposite the Henley Hotel for about 15 mins, occasional dropping to the beach 
but apparently failing to catch anything. At times it was hovering pointing 
into a fairly stiff breeze and managing to stay motionless without any wing 
movement. A second kestrel put in a brief appearance.

Date: Sunday, April 3, 2011

Location: Eagle on the Hill track from Waterfall Gully - about 300m from summit.

Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) (1) Alongside the track 3 meters up a 
Stringybark tree and pretending successfully to be part of it.
