The work here is exceptional, but I have to disagree with the call on 
Long-tailed Finch. Watched the episode tonight on ABC2 and they had a closeup 
of the blue tittifers. I am actually not certain they do have wattles, but the 
shape is not right (particularly of the beak) for estrilid finches and they 
don't have a long tail! I think you are on the right track with the colour 
inversion, so I will have to keep an eye out for species with black (as well as 
white) bibs.
I was surprised at the amount of responses to this request, but I am not 
certain yet whether I actually have an answer.
