Birdline Northern Territory

Published sightings for the week ending 20 Feb 2011.

Sat 19 Feb Channel-billed Cuckoo Anatyeke Gardens, Alice Springs
These are the ornamental gardens directly in front of the Alice Springs Airport. The bird is still quite young and being fed by a couple of Little Crows - usually quite easily found in the eucalypts above the waterhole.

Sat 12 Feb Lathams Snipe Alice Sewage Ponds
Evening trip to the ponds on Saturday resulted in Lathams Snipe at the rear northern side of EP10 (shallow water in cut down reeds). Also saw the juvenile Banded Stilt and the other suspects reported by Field Nats the next morning, but Chris got in first!
