Birdline Northern Territory

Published sightings for the week ending 13 Feb 2011.

Sun 13 Feb Banded Stilt Alice Springs Sewage Ponds
Single bird in immature plumage in EP10.
Chris Watson, Barb Gilfedder and all on Field Nats outing

Sun 6 Feb Sooty Tern Alice Springs, Ghan Rd.
Looks like the winds in Queensland were just a bit too much for this little bloke. He's in good hands and will hopefully be returned to Queensland in due course.
Chris Watson

Sat 5 Feb Peach-faced Lovebird Cliffside Court, Alice Springs
3 birds calling and flying about for 20 minutes this morning. I also saw 2 birds last week near the Telegraph Station. They've obviously escaped and with the country as it is at the moment we could soon have another breeding feral population.
Chris Watson

Fri 4 Feb Hooded Parrot Kakadu NP
A small flock flew across the road between Cooinda and Pine Creek
Matt Vinicombe

Birdline Northern Territory is sponsored by Eremaea Birds and co-ordinated and hosted by Eremaea Birds.
