Published sightings for the week ending 30 Jan 2011.

Fri 28 Jan Varied Lorikeet Alice Springs, northern end of Head Street
At 6.10 am in the Lemon-scented Gums along the road in front of Braitling School/School of the Air. 6 birds in total. 2 birds started on the power pole across the road and flew to join the others in the trees.

Wed 26 Jan Ruff & Oriental Pratincoles Tennant Creek Sewage Ponds
23 Oriental Pratincoles and a curious looking wader. I call it a Ruff too but it looked not much bigger than the Wood Sandpipers nearby. The heat must've been getting to me!

Tue 25 Jan Ruff Tennant Creek Sewage Treatment Ponds
One male. Also 3 Oriental Pratincole.
