Hi All,

It's been great to see an increasing interest in birds & birding in
Australia, and an online magazine (of sorts) like Bird-o is something I was
trying to find years ago. I hope it flourishes, and I hope to be able to
contribute in the future.

As a developer of a "commercial" birding enterprise, I know what it's like
to get unnecessary swipes from people who've taken a look at the website,
and get the wrong impression. I haven't made "profit" at all either, any
income helps pay for the conservation of the birds and biodiversity on our
property, and the property, it also supports our voluntary survey work. At
the moment, we operate charitably and live in a caravan.

I hope there is more support for people and organisations that promote
birding and conservation, maybe any anti-commercial birding attitudes are
just veiled jealousy$?

"Lights fuse and stands well back"

Go Birding!

Cheers,

Simon Clayton
