Hi everyone, I've just walked in the door and thought I ought to let you know that I ended up with 343 species in my Hunter Big Year - all species seen within the confines of the Hunter Region. I'm a bit late posting as I went away on New Year's Eve to try for Eastern Grass Owl in Crowdy Bay NP in the north of the region, only to dip on that species but to pick up a Grey Plover thanks to some very good oil from Al Richardson, which was #343. I will post a wrap-up soon(ish). Congrats also to Paul Dodd and Ruth Woodrow on their amazing VicTwitch tally and thanks to Tim Dolby for egging me on into a Hunter Big Year (and co-conspirator Dan Williams). Missed you by two birds Tim!
