Pectoral Sandpiper
Townsville Town Common Conservation Park
A single individual among a dozen Marsh Sandpipers; feeding actively at the grass 'island' at first viewpoint--watched it for about 15 minutes, the fieldmarks of heavily streaked breast clearly and abruptly separated from the white belly and horn/yellow base to the bill clearly visible (legs submerged). Also one Black-tailed Godwit, probably the same bird seen the previous weekend.

Short-tailed Shearwater, Red-footed Booby, Masked Booby
Michaelmas Cay
Three Short-tailed Shearwaters, one Red-footed Booby and one adult Masked Booby were all good sightings at Michaelmas. Ten Roseate Terns both here and roosting on the glass bottom boat at Hastings Reef mostly in breeding plumage also noteable.
