Fri 5 Nov Black-tailed Godwit Alice Springs Waste Water Treatment Plant
4 birds in EP7a
Chris Watson

Grey Falcon 9kms north of Alice Springs on Stuart highway.
Just beyond the rail overpass, at first light, two good views and one at a distance. Only a single bird seen and no calling.

Tue 2 Nov Gouldian Finch Copperfield Dam
Large flock (over 50, closer to 70) moving through area and perching for about 2 minutes in various tres. Photo will be available.

Sat 30 Oct Black-winged Stilt (with leg flag) Tennant Creek Sewage Ponds
Adult Black-winged Stilt with an orange leg flag on the right leg and metal band on the left leg.

Golden-headed Cisticola Tennant Creek Sewage Ponds
In the thick scrub beside the main entry to the site. Sitting up in plain view atop spinifex and other small shrubbery. Very vocal, 3 birds seen in total, but many more heard.

Bird calling from open in roadside dead tree on Namatjira Drive, approx 2 km West of junction with Larapinta Drive.

Sun 3 Oct Nankeen Night-Heron and Black-fronted Dotterel Angas Downs Indigenous Protected Area
Night-Heron viewed sitting then flying from Red Bank Dam (ephemeral) on Angas Downs Indigenous Protected Area (Lasseter Highway and Luritja Road). Black-fronted Dotteral, possibly juvenile also seen at the time.
