 hi there , this a question to peter menkhorst .....   How do you expect to 
take one fledgling from each nest to gain 30 selective captives

when last year only 12 fledglings in total made it out of melalueca ? Thats 
probably only 4 nests.



  Very interested ( Is it more likely any attempt to catch any appropriate obp 
will be made to reach say 25)  Ps ; any new bird even from melaleuca

would be good for genetics since over 20 years only 6 were used to give the 
current 90 at healsville in which 5 retirees are being harrassed by scaley- 
breasted lorikeets

for all the public to see.



  Also surely some sort of release from last summers captive harvest could be 
released to help young wild birds survive next year??(no birds are to be 
released i am told!)

27 new juviniles in heallsville this year i am told.....    Answers please?
