This is not really a discussion for birding-aus.

Simon,

I applaud the efforts of everyone involved in setting up a live stream of
the Eagle-cam on the internet. I don't have any firm views either way on the
merits of the way that the live stream is displayed on Bird-O, but do marvel
at the technology that is available today.

However, I have to disagree with your comment that this is not really a
discussion for Birding-aus. You have publicised the live stream on
Birding-aus and have invited Birding-aussers to have a look at it.
Birding-aus is an online discussion group about Australian birds.
Consequently, you have to accept that reactions by Birding-aussers to the
live stream will be discussed on Birding-aus, just like any other piece of
information about Australian birds. Some responses have been good, others
have not been so positive, but that's life. So my personal view (and correct
me if I'm wrong Russell), I think these discussions should be encouraged on
Birding-aus, rather than curtailed, provided that they don't degenerate into
personal fights or vendettas.
