Terry and others
I've recently changed to an Iridium handset using the Iridium network which
is much better than my old Tel-It handset which used the Globalstar network
(these guys keep sending letters to their customers that they'll launch more
satellites to improve their terrible reception, but never do, while Iridium
is (so they claim) used world-wide by the army etc). While driving I have
reception pretty well permanently and can send & receive text messages from
within the car without an external antenna, whereas previously I had to go
outside and wait for ages for a signal (sometimes up to 10 mins). (I have no
affiliation with either).
cheers
