Good evening Birding Ausers,

This is a link to a free bird call site which I am sure many of you will be
aware of. Thanks to Sander Bot (a Dutch birder) who kindly emailed me the
details again after I lost the piece of paper with the address written on it!
It was lovely to play his recording of the Indian Robin from Goa and remember
the sites, sights and sounds from that day.

I have just been in playing on the site and have successfully downloaded songs
into my iTunes. My understanding is that there are no copyright restrictions
and all calls can be downloaded. Recordings of 60% of the world's bird can be
found on this site, so well worth a look/listen! For me having the opportunity
to learn at least some calls prior to going to exotic lands will be a wonderful
addition to future trip preparations.

Also so much gets written about Bowra that I was not going to put anything on
about our recent trip (where Peter again failed to see the Grey Falcon...or the
"That which cannot be named" bird) however on our last morning we got great
views of 6 or so Redthroat including 3 singing males. This was not at the site
marked on the map for Redthroat, but on a near by track very close to the track
itself.

Julie tells me this is one of the most commonly missed birds. I left the GPS
co-ordinates with Julie and Ian and would be happy to provide more details if
requested to do so off site.

Happy birding

Judith
