Sat 15 May      Wedge-tailed Eagle Peter Murrell Reserve 
One Wedge-tailed Eagle circling overhead was the only highlight on a
brief pre-dusk visit to Peter Murrell Reserve.

Fri 14 May      Brown Falcon, Musk Duck, Superb Fairy-wren. Four Springs
Lake 
Brown Falcon: (2). Chestnut Teal: (4). Australian Shelduck: (6). Superb
Fairy-wren: Most individuals (mainly female and non-breeding plumage
males) I've seen in one location - possibly 100+. Musk Duck: (6). Great
Cormorant: (1). 
John Tongue 
        
        Banded Lapwing Selbourne 
At least 60 of this usually quite rare bird, foraging in a recently
ploughed paddock right beside the little Selbourne church. The tractor
was still working the field, planting something and birds seemed to be
foraging for larvae, etc.

Thu 13 May      Brown Quail Peter Murrell Reserve, Kingston. 
(5) were seen.

        Great Egret, Cape Barren Goose Tamar Island Wetlands Reserve 
Great Egret: (6). Cape Barren Goose: (2). 
James Melville 
        
Wed 12 May      Grey Goshawk (White Morph) Wynyard Bypass 
one bird flying low across the road, from a perch on one side, to a
perch on the other side. Unperturbed by traffic, and light industry in
the area.
