Published sightings for the week ending 2 May 2010.

Fri 30 Apr      Square-tailed Kite Warwick town 
1 circling over town at midday.

Sun 25 Apr      Channel-billed Cuckoo Coolangatta 
Very late bird, near the turnoff to Coolangatta from the main highway.

        Wandering Albatross Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island 
One juvenile heading south. Also 3 Leopard sharks, Brown Noddies and 1
light phase Arctic Skua.

Sat 24 Apr      Rufous Scrub-bird, Superb Fruit-Dove, Red-browed
Treecreeper Binna Burra area, Lamington NP 
Rufous Scrub-bird - 4km down Coomera Track - 2 males calling, one seen
briefly. Superb Fruit-Dove - one heard calling, Rainforest loop.
Red-browed Treecreeper - pair at Duck Creek Road.

Thu 22 Apr      Ground Parrot, Southern Emu-wren Cooloola NP 
One Ground Parrot heard calling at 5:30am (not seen). 2 Southern
Emu-wren near the T&T site. Also a covey of around 8 Brown Quail flushed
from roadside.

Wed 21 Apr      Black-breasted Button-quail Inskip Point 
5 birds seen (3 males, 2 females), all on the south side of the road
