I think these are great ideas Laurie. If the contributors and subscribers
that AFO wants were to come from readers of this site then maybe the journal
would change to what the readers want, if change is needed.

Why not sign up for one year? $32 a year is not a lot to donate to see if
you like it, and remember, you don't need to loin BOCA to subscribe. Who
knows, new subscribers might even enjoy AFO just as it is and it wont need
to change. Perhaps if AFO got more papers from non-academics there would be
enough material for 4 copies a year, at say, 50% academic, 50% field
ornithologist.

If people are really interested in AFO/ABW, spend the money and see what is
there now, you might be surprised.
