Went up to Yorke Peninsula again this morning with Enid Pascoe and Burt May.
We first went to the Little Curlew site off Bird Island Rd at about 8.30 and
found three fairly quickly. They were on the first low ridge moving to the
left (east), then they disappeared over the ridge and reappeared a bit
further to the east on the second ridge. Some distant photos were taken by
Enid .

We then crossed over the peninsula to the Oriental Plover site off Hills Rd
south of Price where we met another Adelaide birder already looking for the
plovers amongst the Banded Lapwings. We very quickly had good views (with
our scopes) of the one plover in near full breeding plumage and a couple of
others, one of which was showing quite a lot of pale orange on the breast
and white on the face.

A good quick morning's birding.

Tony
