Birding-aus regular finds his 15 minutes of fame

Thanks Alan, I forgot that bit... In addition to writing to the media  
I also posted info on Twitter and Facebook and asked for help. Alan  
was first cab off the rank and I could follow his friends' retweets.  
Once the article in The Age was published I also followed the tweets  
on that story and I noticed quite a few people retweeted that. I  
wonder if we'd have found the owner just by using computer  
communications...
