Hi all,

While driving home after completing a job in St Andrews, app. 50km north east
of Melbourne last Friday I noticed a Painted Button-quail walking ahead on the
gravel road ahead with 3 chicks. The area I was in was totally burnt out in the
Black Saturday fires. I managed to take a couple of photos through the
windshield with a 12 x zoom compact which you can view at
http://picasaweb.google.com/pelicanmania/PaintedButtonQuail#

If anyone is doing research in the fire affected areas and would like extra
information feel free to contact me,

Cheers, Paul
