Do you mean deleting all the quoted information below?  That's up to you, I 
prefer to delete anything that isn't relevant to my reply, but to leave at 
least some for context.  In this case it's a bit hard to know what to get rid 
of.  You can see how leaving it all in makes the pages in the archives very 
long.  Note that point 6 of the list rules at 
http://lists.vicnet.net.au/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus mentions that replies 
should not "include all of the original message if replying (use only what's 
needed for clarity) ".

I can see now why NEW post topics must start from scratch.
I've saved the email address for new posts.

One question though ...
Replying to this email is it OK for me to delete all the message you have sent ?
or should I kept it in line with my reply above ?   Awkward but I think you will
know what I mean.    In this instance, I've left your reply below
