Are you just looking at them, or are you editing them too?  Irfanview is a very 
widely used image viewer that can also do some of the simpler editing - rotate, 
crop, adjust brightness, etc - and is good for batch processes like resizing or 
renaming lots of images at once.  Gimp is an open source image editor similar 
to Photoshop, powerful, but not so simple.  There are thousands of others, but 
these are the main ones I use.
