Birdline NT Published sightings for the week ending 24 Jan 2010. Tue 19 Jan Black-tailed Godwit Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds 3 Black-tailed Godwits were lurking about near the bench seat until I flushed them but I caught up with them and got excellent views and not-so-excellent photos. My camera is poor but they are definitely Black-tailed Godwits. Technically not out of their range but reasonably unusual for Alice. Also a flock of 75-100 Plumed Whistling-Ducks at the same site. Chris Watson Birdline NT is co-ordinated and hosted by Eremaea Birds <http://www.eremaea.com> . =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
