G'day,

I posted the link of this observation to Bird Forum

The one comment I have received so far [from a Canadian] is that the call is more diagnostic than the plumage. Have any of the observers heard the bird call, and if so, can they describe the call?

Just to let you know the Semipalmated Plover was present at 13:00 today (19th Jan) again at the sewage works in its favored spot (west side) as
described in Frank O Connors's account.



It is very active still chasing the Black-fronted Dotterel around and often disappears between the Silver Gull and Caspian Tern roosting there at the
edge of the pond.
