I wouldn't be too hasty, Bill. The last time we had this discussion was
towards the end of 2008 - the most recent previous sighting of a RWBB was at
Wilson Reserve in 2006, and most people appeared content to declare it
locally extinct. All of a sudden, on 17 March 2009, Rohan Clarke reported a
single bird in North Eltham - see Birdline report:

Yeah, I've seen them in Katoomba as well, but I think they're locally
extinct here in Melbourne after having struggled on for about a century or
more.

Can anyone prove me wrong?
