Some more good birds today on the Sunshine Coast, with Chris Corben and I
kicking off at the Cooroy wetlands. Spotless and Baillon's Crakes showed
well, as they have been doing regularly here in recent times. Other birds
included Latham's Snipe and Water Whistling-Duck.

We moved on to Noosa North Shore, where two Ground Parrots showed
brilliantly when flushed in wallum heath, the first being found within a few
minutes of our arrival.

On then to the Noosa River spit. Waders and terns here included 4 Grey
Plovers, 200+ Common Terns and a smattering of White-winged Terns.

At Noosa National Park nearby, Rose-crowned Fruit-Doves were calling
commonly, with a male giving fine views.

At a wetland in Sunshine Beach, a Bush-hen offered exceptional views.
Inspections of local Allocasuarina patches indicated the local Glossy Black
Cockatoos have been busy, though we didn't see them today.

At Weyba Downs on the way home, a Square-tailed Kite circled lazily
overhead.

Nice stuff indeed.
