That's true Graham, but there has also been some discussion on what amplifiers and speakers ( coupled to a variety of iPoddy Nanno-y things) are available which put out enough volume to get the birds to respond. I did locate something quite small yet powerful enough at Dick Smith's some months ago for about $40, but not having and not wanting an iPod to go with it I resisted the temptation. Just more junk to carry around.
