Is this species in the north of Port Phillip more often ? Today I saw one feeding on offshore rock platform opposite the Brighton Life Saving Club at 0930. The 3rd record for the City of Bayside this year, following 6 records in 2008, with 6 other reports since 2000 (and none before). The sightings have been in March, May, August, September, October - and now November (right in the middle of the breeding season). "Birds of Port Phillip Bay", published in 1986, has it as "irregular" at 3 sites in the northern half of the Bay (and "regular" at Point Nepean, Swan Bay and Mud Islands).
