Alan Galbraith reports that he saw the bird again yesterday afternoon as follows :

Could not find this bird this pm on or near the swamp as described by Frank. However, returning from a short walk I found it in the open on the grass on Lakeside Drive opposite Mallen Way.

This afternoon with a group of Swedish birders we saw a non breeding plumage Eastern Yellow Wagtail at Herdsman Lake.

From Pearson Street, turn into Bishop Hale Way and make your way around to south end of The Foreshore. Walk down the path. It was on the first muddy swamp on the right among the trees.
