It's pretty easy, Tones - if you don't want the clutter, don't use it.

Correct Paul, and I don't.
I consider all those new feeds, ie facebook, twitter, my space ?,
message texting etc etc, to be just a waste of time and money. So much
so that I don't even use a mobile phone for voice except when I'm away
on a trip, and even then it's only on for incoming calls in the
evenings. Email, internet, and landline cost enough as it is, and
Russ's birding-aus gives me all the birding info I need. This current
fad of sending messages and pictures seems ridiculous to me and
hopefully will die out when people tire of the gimmickry.

RSVP by semaphore or morse code .

Tones.
