Glossies on NSW central coast

Sunday in the middle of the Hardys Bay township (NSW Central Coast) two Glossy 
Black Cockatoos were being mobbed by dozens of Noisy Miners and a couple of 
Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos high in a gum tree not more than 75 metres from the 
corner store. They were sitting on a dead branch in a living gum and were 
clearly visible from the (only) road out of town.

There are plenty of casuarinas around Hardys Bay, but the birds were very much 
in the middle of suburbia on a day when the place is busier than usual because 
of the influx of weekend visitors -- very unexpected. Very nice.

They made my day!
