Hi all

Thinking of doing a trip to Lake Eyre and noticed in the weekend paper that
Heron Airlines do trips that way , starting from 3 days from Bankstown
airport in Sydney, including both a ground tour and 1 hour flight over Lake
Eyre. The obvious priority for me is to see it at its peak of bird activity
so not sure what the window of opportunity is ?

Has anybody had any experience with these or are there others to consider ?
Time as usual is my limiting factor.

The other option which sounded good was a 4 day tour including Birdsville
Races in September though based on the Lake

filling now , does anybody know what the bird life is likely to be by
September i.e. is the influx of birds likely to have already bred and gone
?

Any help much appreciated

Thanks
