As twitchers are such ardent collectors of ticks, I suggest -
an itching of Ixodists
Australian Encyclopaedia (Angus & Robertson, 1958), Volume 8, page 498:
"Ticks ... many of considerable medical and economic importance ...
constitute the super-family Ixodoidea ..."
