Hi Tony,

You will find that illustrations of juvenile birds are sometimes labelled 'immature' in some field guides. HANZAB has good paintings and from that reference the nearest is definitely Brush. I saw a juvenile Brush Cuckoo myself W of Grafton, North Coast NSW, last week but it wasn't as rufous as the bird pictured.
