Hi birding-ausers,
Hoping someone may be able to help me source some simple mapping software for
Australia which would allow me to store information (not just bird names) by
location. I want to be able to store information via a detailed map ( with
roads/tracks/towns/landmarks etc), ie scan/scroll to the location you are after
( would have to be down to less than a km or so) and then click on the spot to
bring up info to add to, or edit.
Does any such system exist?
I have used eremaea and birddata, both great for storing bird lists, but I
really want a much more detailed map as a starting point, and don't need
birdlists to work from necesarily, just a blank box for entering text.

Cheers,

Simon Starr.
