Hi Charla,
 No direct experience with these Binos, but given the price and the 
configuration (roof prism type) I'd have to say thy would be pretty 
ordinary, unfortunately you pretty much get what you pay for.  The specs 
really don't tell you anything about how clear and contrasty the view 
you  will get is.  The straight through roof prism type bino is more 
difficult to build, due to the prism types it needs to use to get the 
image upright.  The porro prism (the barrels are bent not straight) 
types are a little easier to build, but probably harder to get 
waterproof.  I always recommend trying out binoculars before buying to 
see and feel how they handle.  If you're on a budget you'll get a much 
nicer bino if you choose a porro prism model.  You can get a set of 
Nikon 8x40 porro prism binos for about $250.  If you want the roof prism 
style, the Nikon monarchs are hard to beat at about $650.  I'd suggest 
going into Bintel at Glebe and trying them out, they're generally very 
helpful.
