I'm in the market for a pair of beginner binoculars for my sister, who's recently moved to Singleton and has fallen in love with all the birds on her property (by the way, anyone know of any local Hunter bird books?). My googling has come turned up some ultra-cheap 8x40/42 AOE bins, and I was wondering if anyone had had any experience with this brand. The specs all look okay from the limited amount I know.

Thanks so much everyone, and thoughts going out to all those birds and birders in the area of the Vic fires.
