That's bad luck, Peter. I've got 2 chickens and was in a dilemma what to do with them while I was at work during the heatwave (one day being 45.1 or thereabouts!). One was broody and in a tiny nest box that got some sun, so I booted them out of their coop in the mornings and they had the run of the property and I just had to hope that they'd find the best place available. Luckily they managed quite well, and it cured the one chook of her broodiness!!
