A friend told me she decided to leave work early on one of the VERY hot
days. As it turned out that time, circa 4.30pm was the hottest part of the
day (42-5C I think). Cycling home from East Melbourne to Brunswick up Royal
Parade she was distressed by the sight of lots of ravens standing in the
parks, their mouths gaping and wings held out, all pointing to the north
from which there was the slightest of breezes.
At the same time the local Mudlarks were going about their business utterly
unperturbed and as if it was a normal day!
