Hi Inger

I've only spent a day on Tonga, enjoying tropicbirds from the cliffs on the main island. There is one good book on birds and birding locations - Birds of Fiji and Western Pacific - see http://www.environmentfiji.com/publications.html Also explore Dick Watling's publication list on http://www.environmentfiji.com/dw_project_list.html for details of his work on Mannita seabirds and other Tongan projects. Dick is busy but will usually respond if you have a specific question and especially if you can offer to count seabirds or otherwise help

Let me know how the whale experience goes - I hear mixed but mostly positive reports

Guy
