G'day Birders, I've just come back from a work trip to Wagga Wagga in southern inland NSW. I was impressed to see a good number of Superb Parrots in the area, with 8 between the Hume Hwy and Wagga itself (including 5 at Gumly Gumly) and a further 2 in town itself. This was on the 2nd of December. While they do normally occur there these are good numbers.

I also saw some Yellow Rosellas in and around town. They seem to be increasing as well, last time I was here (December '07) I saw only on bird, but this time I saw several pairs on the western side of town and a group of 3 at the Botanical Gardens.

And the icing on the cake was a pair of White-backed Swallows at the quarry at the western side of town where I was working.

Cheers
Graham Turner
