Hi Michael
On the Canberrabirds web site they have a pic of an eastern rosella/ crimson
rosella hybrid. It looks a lot like what you saw.

It tickles me that Rosellas and related parrots will interbreed. I read that
even Galahs will interbreed with Corellas.
