Good morning birders

This morning while walking our dogs at the Andrews Rd baseball fields with
my wife, we saw a Peregrine chasing a smaller bird right in front of us
barely above head height. It was incredible, though not as fast as I would
have envisaged. At first I thought it was an Australian Hobby for the dark
hood, but a little down the road it made no contact so it turned back around
and as it approached about 20m away I could clearly distinguish the yellow
cere, eye ring and talons/feet of an adult Peregrine Falcon. What a way to
start the day!

Happy sightings folks.
