Dear all Spotless Crakes (at least 2) were showing well at Lake Samsonvale last night. If you park at the cemetery and walk down the hill past the barrier, they are in a small pond on the left after c,100m. I also heard at least 2 Lewin's Rails here (in the general area) - but again failed to see one. A few people have said they have seen them here recently - where and how did you see them? Were they showing in the aforementioned pond? They always seem to be in waist high grass! King quails were calling nearby last night too.
