Hi all,

I am planning a trip to the Abrolhos next year to see the Lesser Noddy with my family (2 greater birders and 1 lesser birder). I am planning on flying to Big Mud Island which is a few km form the terns' nesting colony.

I am wondering what the likelihood of seeing the birds is on Big Mud Island without getting a boat ride to the island with the nesting colony in say late January or February 2009. Apparently outside of the cray season there are few boats in the vicinity that we could hire.

Can any body make suggestions comments?

Happy Birding.
