Sounds of Summer

My Brisbane sounds of summer.

Nothing unusual. Not 'musical'. But so pleasing to my ears: the Red
Bottlebrush (Callistemon viminalis) is in flower. Our garden is tiny - the
house takes up much of our 16 perch (404 sq. m?) allotment, but some 40
years ago I planted the bottlebrush - to the present delight of a dozen or
rainbow lorikeets by day and flying foxes by night. Such happy noise.

Cheers

Syd
