A few of the ferals seem to find the VVP (Victorian Volcanic Plain) a bit
daunting! Funny that - it is after all a major biogeographic barrier :-)
There are quite a few places in Melbourne - particularly west of the city
centre, where Tree Sparrows are more commonly encountered that House
Sparrows.
All of this is interesting as it plays out little biogeographic scenarios
that we can observe and muse about ...
