This is a bit late but I was laid low by a nasty virus that's doing the
rounds.

While travelling back to Melbourne from Wangaratta on 19 September, I took
the opportunity to visit the Warby Ranges and stroll along the Quarry
Lookout Walk. There were several Eastern Yellow Robins and lots of
Yellow-tufted Honeyeaters but I was surprised to see a pair of Turquoise
Parrots. I'm not sure if they are resident in the area but I thought their
range didn't extend as far south.

I also visited Lake Mokoan - the north western shoreline - and saw a
Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, Tree Martins, Rufous Songlarks, a Shining
Bronze-Cuckoo, Red-rumped Parrots, several Long-billed Corellas feeding
with large flocks of Sulphur-crested Cockatoos, and a pair of
Black-shouldered Kites as well as the usual ducks, pelicans, swans, ibis,
etc.
